What is a Day Master?

The Day Master is the Heavenly Stem of the Day Pillar. It is a reference for chart relationships, distinct from the zodiac animal associated with a birth year.

Understanding and use

The ten stems are Jia, Yi, Bing, Ding, Wu, Ji, Geng, Xin, Ren and Gui. They correspond to yin or yang and Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal or Water. A Day Master is only a starting point; season, other pillars and a stated method are needed for interpretation.
